Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Arc’teryx is known for making well-designed, durable technical garments and gear for mountaineers. Arc’teryx is named for Archaeopteryx Lithographica, the first known feathered animal, a fossil of which is used as the company mark. In 2009, Arc’teryx launched Veilance, a line of casual menswear.
